LENDING MATERIALS POLICIES
1. You must have a library card to check out materials.
2. Checking Out Materials
A. Up to 10 items per card may be checked out, but only 5 to a subject area or author.
B. Books check out for 28 days and may be renewed 1 time if no one else has them on reserve and they are not overdue. They may be renewed over the phone if the patron uses his/her library card number.
C. Books-on-Tape and Books-on-CD check out for 28 days and are not renewable.
D. Music CD's, Videos, and DVDs check out for two weeks and are not renewable. The charge to check out Videos and DVDs is $1.00, and for Music CD's, it is $0.50.
E. The cost for lost items is full price of the item.
F. Reference materials, Locked Case Materials and Art Case Materials are used in the library only. You will be required to present a library card or ID to use Locked Case, Art Case and some reference materials.
G. You may place a reserve on materials at the Front Desk
3. Checking In Materials
A. Materials may be checked in at the Main Library's or the Children's Library Front Desk.
B. There is an outside bookdrop next to the Main Library and the Children's Library that may be used when the library is closed and are for books only.
Videos, DVDs, CDs, and cassettes must be returned inside the library and not in the outside bookdrops, because the weather may damage such materials.
